Stretch Beyond is an after-school program that includes a wide variety of activities for which students can be involved . Students in grades 1-5 choose their areas of interest and sign up for classes and activities which are available throughout the school year in six week sessions. Classes are held Monday through Thursday.   Most classes run from after school to 4:00 although some may run longer. Classes for grades 1-3 are held at KES and grades 4/5 at SRS. A few classes are open to Kindergarten children.

Healthy Kids Club: This program will run parallel to Stretch Beyond and is part of the Stretch program. It is designed to meet the needs of a different population than the Stretch program; those needing child care later than 4:00. This program is available five afternoons a week but no less than two. This is for Grades K-5 and housed at KES. We have three rooms, one for K-1, 2-3 and 4-5!  4/5 grade students are  bussed to KES. Parents must commit to two afternoons per week.  This program runs from right after school to 5:30. We will go bowling at Bowl-A-Rama once a month on ERW. The cost is $20. which includes transportation, shoes, bowling, pizza and drinks. Due to the fact that each Wednesday in October is early release we are making plans for other activities. The cost will still be $20. The bowling days will be: Sept. 10th, Oct. 15th, Nov. 12th, Dec. 10th, Jan. 14th, Feb. 11th, March 11th, April 8th, May 13th, June 10th

Homework Help:
Homework is offered at no cost at both SRS and KES. This class offers a quiet time to get homework/projects/book reports done without noise. The teacher is available to help with work if need. Class is held on Tuesday at each school.

Positions Available:
Stretch Beyond is always looking for instructors. We need people who would be willing to teach dance, chess, foreign languages, art, theater, bicycling, stamp collecting, Origami, building rockets, coin collecting, singing, biking, hiking or anything else you may have an interest in teaching. 2:50-4:15 at SRS and KES. There is pay with all of these positions.

Scholarships are no longer available! Our scholarship money has been used up for the remainder of the year!! We are so sorry that we will no longer be able to offer any more full or partial scholarships!

 Instructors are teachers within the school district, community members, as well as high school students. Most instructors are paid, however, many high school students teach a class for community service hours towards graduation from high school.
